Regional ATOD Prevention Coordinator

Job Summary

The Regional Prevention Coordinator must reside within the specified geographical region 6 (Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Winona) and is responsible for working with regional stakeholders in creating, promoting, and sustaining an effective and efficient ATOD prevention infrastructure throughout the region. This includes organizing and sustaining collaborations/coalitions, as well as providing training and technical assistance to DHS prevention grantees and other prevention professionals. This position requires extensive traveling.

Wages: $54,080 – $64,480

Family Support Services Coordinator

Job Summary

The Family Support Services Coordinator is responsible for the operation and administration of The Michael H. Seibel Family Visitation and Exchange Center, Partnering with Parents Program, Parents Forever Program, Personal Care Item Program, Diaper Program, and Clothes Closet Program. The Family Support Services Coordinator must create an open and honest working environment that inspires professionalism, creativity, and innovation.

BIPOC Positive Grant Coordinator

Job Summary

This position supports the work of the Parenting Resource Center, Inc. (PRC), a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through resources, services, and prevention education to promote healthy, safe lifestyles for families within communities. The BIPOC Positive Grant Coordinator, herein referred to as “Coordinator” is responsible for overseeing grant activities to support the general development of a community coalition to address youth substance use prevention within the Austin Minnesota community.  The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing member recruitment and retention, coordination of coalition meetings, implementation of initiatives, and assisting with reporting requirements for funders.  Other duties include managing coalition public relations and communications, and planning and implementing substance use prevention communication campaigns. 

This position carries a considerable responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities associated with the Coalition to include providing general oversight for coalition activities, associated projects and grant management.  The Coordinator is responsible for working with community stakeholders in creating, promoting, and sustaining an efficient alcohol and other drug prevention coalition throughout the Austin Minnesota community.  This includes organizing and sustaining the coalition, as well as monitoring all grant activities according to the specifications of the Department of Human Services, Behavioral Health Division 

The Program Coordinator can expect support from the MN Regional Prevention Coordinators, MN Department of Human Services ATOD Grant Supervisors, the PCN Coordinator Peer Group, and the Parenting Resource Center, Inc. in the performance of duties as requested.   

This position requires some travel.  Flexible hours are required for day and evening/weekend duties as needed.  Additional duties as assigned by the MN DHS-Behavioral Health Division. 

Wages: $46,000-$60,000

Drug-Free Community Grant Coordinator

Job Summary

This position supports the work of the Parenting Resource Center, Inc. (PRC), a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through resources, services, and prevention education to promote healthy, safe lifestyles for families within communities. The role of the Drug-Free Community Grant Coordinator is to coordinate the work of the Austin Positive Action Coalition (APAC) and program activities and the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program grant. In accordance with the DFC Act, the DFC Support Program has two goals:

1) Establish and strengthen collaboration among communities, public and private non-profit agencies, as well as federal, state, local, and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions working to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth (individuals 18 years of age and younger).

2) Reduce substance abuse among youth and, over time, reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increases the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.

Wages: $55,000-$60,000

Supervised Visitation/Exchange Monitor

Job Summary

This position supports the work of the Parenting Resource Center, Inc. (PRC), a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through resources, services, and prevention education to promote healthy, safe lifestyles for families within communities. The supervised visitation/exchange monitor is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment while supervised visitations and exchanges take place. It is beneficial for the supervised visitation/exchange monitor to have knowledge in the areas of diversity, chemical dependency, neglect, domestic violence sexual abuse, verbal abuse, and mental illnesses. The mission of the Michael H. Seibel Visitation and Exchange Center (Seibel Center) is to facilitate the exchange and visitation of children by and between custodial and non-custodial parents with a positive, healthy environment in which to interact, offering them a place where family vulnerability to violence and trauma will be reduced.

Staff needed for evening and weekend shifts.

Youth Prevention Specialist

Job Summary

This position supports the work of the Parenting Resource Center, Inc. (PRC), a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through resources, services, and prevention education to promote healthy, safe lifestyles for families. The Youth Prevention Specialist is responsible for working with high school and middle school students, as well as facilitating the Students Taking A New Direction (STAND) Groups. This role focuses on promoting healthy decision-making and
preventing risky behaviors through education, engagement, and support. The Specialist will collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to implement youth prevention programming that aligns with the PRC’s mission.

The Specialist carries significant responsibility for planning, facilitating, and evaluating youth-focused activities and initiatives, ensuring they align with community needs and prevention strategies. The Specialist will serve as a positive role model for students and foster an environment of respect, learning, and collaboration.

Wages (Hourly): $16.00
